I mostly ride alone as a commuter. I rarely “go on a ride.”
I’ve been to a few track days. Very exciting! Somewhat expensive. I now have a “Track-Day” fund.
I got interested in motorcycling as a kid by riding mini-bikes on the streets of Providence, RI.
My first heart break was seeing one of them carried away on the back of a tow truck.
Mom and dad weren’t too happy. I started trail riding after that, but that meant bigger and better equipment 🙂
Current gear favorite has to be SEDICI Hot Wired Jacket to keep warm on cold mornings; Thank you Santa!
One of my favorite memories: 1977, I was riding from Providence to visit a friend in Keene, NH. The weather was great in Providence, 70 degrees and clear. As I rode a friend’s Honda CT-350 north and night fell, so did the temperature. Nearly frozen and lost north of the border, I finally reached my destination hours later than expected.
Lesson learned! I’ve never gone out on a trip without checking the weather and with the proper gear for the ride.
